Because of the state's diverse topography, skydiving in California is like no other place in the world. From over 13,000 feet in the air, you can see forest preserves, huge mountains, lakes, rivers, and on clear days, even the Pacific Ocean.
Furthermore, our California skydiving dropzones are usually less than an hour's drive from major cities. Lake Elsinore, for instance, is about an hour's drive either way from both Los Angeles or San Diego. With such a beautiful environment and proximity to major cities, it is no wonder that people from all over come to experience skydiving in California.
From tandem jumps to solo skydives to complete skydiving certification, Extremethings offers fantastic packages from best-in-class instructors. Strapped to an experienced skydiver, your tandem jump will include a nail-biting 60-second freefall before your canopy is deployed. From there, you will gently glide back down to solid terra firma while enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
After such excitement, it is likely that your tandem experience will not be the last of your skydiving in California. Many people return to become certified skydivers or to experience a solo jump, which can be accomplished after just 4 to 6 hours of instruction. Solo does not mean alone, you will be flanked by two highly experienced and certified instructors who will skydive with you while maintaining radio contact to ensure your safety.
Your initial solo skydive is part of the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) training program of the United States Parachute Association.
