What is the agenda for the activity? What can participants expect? The Tandem Powered Para-Glide includes a brief 10 minute ground and safety school instruction, and 20 to 30 minutes of flight over the beautiful coastal cliffs of Malibu, California. The Solo Flight Instruction occurs over a 5-day period of extensive safety and paragliding training. Much of the first four days will be spent learning to paraglide without the paramotor. As the student's skill and confidence increases, instruction will take place at greater heights. Much of the fifth day will be spent using the Powered Paraglider. Should the student need additional days of training beyond five, such training is priced at $175.00 per day. The expect to spend approximately 5-hours per day for Solo training.
What should the participants bring or wear? Is all equipment included? All gliding equipment is included. We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing and trekking or hiking shoes.
How long should the participants allow for the activity from start to finish? The duration of Tandem fight is dependent on the weather and wind conditions. As a guide, your training and tandem glide will take approximately one to two hours depending on the site, including time to get to the Paragliding hill, instruction, and flight. The Solo Flight Instruction is a 5 to 7 day course that may be spread over four weeks. Each day of training will last approximately 5 hours. Training is offered seven days a week and thus, can be custom tailored around your work and family commitments.
When and Where does the activity take place? Your Powered Para-Gliding experience will take place over the beautiful coastal hills of Malibu, California, a 15 minute drive north of Santa Monica. Tandems flights are available seven days a week and are typically scheduled for mid-morning or early afternoon.
Are there any restrictions (age, weight, health, etc.)? Participants should be in reasonably good health and weight less than 180 pounds to participate in the tandem powered glide.
Can spectators be accommodated? Spectators are welcome.
Can minors participate? Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Can persons with disabilities be accommodated? Participants should be physically fit and in good health to participate in this experience.
Can large groups or corporate events be accommodated? Large outdoor adventure groups and corporate events are welcome.
Are there any availability or timing restrictions? Tandem and Solo flights are available seven days a week, but we recommend that you call for wind conditions prior to your scheduled Solo or Tandem Glide.
