What is the agenda for the activity? What can participants expect? Your Go-Kart Racing experience begins with a 30 minute driver education instruction covering performance kart racing, track conditions and layout, and safety. Then after suiting up, your first track session begins. This is your chance to get a feel for the track and the capabilities of your Sprint or TAG performance race kart. After the first session, you’ll do a walk-through of the race course where your instructors will explain the idiosyncrasies of the track, and point out road markers defining optimal braking/acceleration points, and teach you strategies to safety negotiate the hairpin turns.
After the walk-through, you’ll suit up again for the second racing session. The first few laps of the second session will be at a moderate pace, providing racers the opportunity to explore the road markers defining the fastest path around the track while traveling at a slower pace. Then the race is on!
Generally, there are three separate on-track racing sessions in both the morning and afternoon of your go-kart racing experience. After each session, instructors will provide each student tips to improve their track times. Each lap will be timed so you will know how your race performance is improving with each session.
The TAG Kart Racing experience is only open to those who have graduated from a Full-Day of Sprint Kart Racing. The TAG is a higher performance go-kart with 4-wheel disc brakes and a 6-speed gearbox capable of moving from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and reach top speeds of 90 mph! By comparison, the Sprint Karts can hit 60 mph in 6.7 seconds and have a top speed of 80 mph.
Two-Day Sprint Kart Racing packages are also available for those who live for adrenalin. This experience included six on-track driving sessions!
All racers will receive a Certificate of Graduation with their fastest times listed upon completion of each of the Go-Kart Racing packages.
