What is the agenda for this activity? What can participants expect? This is an all-day adventure that encompasses more than just jumping. The jump group meets at 7:30 in the morning and then caravans to the Angeles National Forest parking lot, a 20 minute drive. That’s when the two hour hike through the beautiful and scenic Angeles National Forest begins. The hike is of moderate difficulty and you can expect get wet as you cross water streams up to two feet deep! Once you reach the bungee jumping bridge, the group breaks for lunch while the Jump Masters set up the equipment. Then after a brief jump school instruction that explains the bungee equipment, types of jumps and the history of the bridge, the bungee jumping begins and lasts until the last person has completed his or her final dive. Then the trek back to the parking lot begins.
What should the participants bring or wear? Is all equipment included? Participants should pack a lunch and bring a least one liter of water per person. Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended although a good pair of running shoes will also do the trick. A hat, light jacket, sunglass and sunscreen are also recommended. Don’t forget your camera!
How long should the participants allow for the activity from start to finish? This is an all-day adventure. The jump group meets at 7:30 in morning, caravans to the Angeles National Forest parking lot, and then hikes for two hours to the bungee jumping bridge. The last bungee jump may not take places until 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon, after which the two hour hike back to the Forest parking lot takes place. Please allow 8 to 10 hours for this activity.
When and Where does the activity take place? The bridge jumping takes place in the Angeles National Forest, approximately 40 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Trips to the bungee-jumping bridge are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, with weekday trips available upon special request.
Are there any restrictions (age, weight, health, etc.)? Participants should be physically fit and in good health to participate in this hiking/jumping activity.
Can spectators be accommodated? Spectators are welcome.
Can minors participate? Participants and spectators under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and must be able to navigate a moderately difficult forest hike.
Can persons with disabilities be accommodated? Participants should be physically fit and in good health to participate in this experience and able to navigate a moderately difficult forest hike.
Can large groups or corporate events be accommodated? Large outdoor adventure groups and corporate events are welcome.
Are there any availability or timing restrictions? Bungee jumping trips are usually limited to Saturdays or Sundays and cannot be confirmed unless and until a group of 10 or more jumpers are scheduled. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS?
